School uniforms at St Luke’s CARES Charity Shop

School Uniform Swap LS11 has been running for over a year with regular stalls at the Watsonia Pavilion in Cross Flatts Park over the summer. The swap does what is says on the tin, collected unwanted items of pre-loved school uniform and offering it for free (or a small donation) to people who need it.

With children growing so quickly and to cost of uniforms going up like everything else the service is a reall win-win. It also saves unwanted clothing from going to the incinerator.

Tania Carlisle from the group recently commented online:

“Happy New Year. We are now housing our school uniform stocks at St Luke’s Cares charity shop available to collect every Wednesday afternoon.

“We really need more donations, stocks are pretty low at the moment so please bring any donations to the shop on Dewsbury Road. Thanks, Tania and the team.”
