The annual Hunslet Gala takes place this Saturday (25 June 2016) and organisers are promising a feast of entertainment and activity.
As well as the usual inflatables and stalls there will be performances from the Vocologee choir and Indian drumming by pupils from St Mary’s school. There will also be a chance to meet the animals in Ian’s Mobile Farm.
The Arena will also host displays by the Hunslet Carr and Shardonnay Majorette groups; the Keldon School of Dance; Zumba with Hannah and a Hunslet Club showcase. Around the site you will find Punch & Judy, a vintage fire engine and a chance to learn circus skills with Professor Fiddlesticks.
The fun kicks off at 11:30am on the recreation ground between Grove Road and Hunslet St Mary’s Primary School, across Church Street from Morrisons.
Hunslet Gala is supported financially by the local ward councillors of the Inner South Community Committee, Skeltons Skip Hire, Ledgard Consulting, Eden, Anglo Engineering, and The Gold Trader.
