The Friends of Middleton Park and Leeds Music Trust are hosting the Middleton Music & Folk Festival this Sunday, 17 July 2016 from 12-4pm on the bandstand in Middleton Park.
Topping the bill will be Makanitza bringing their mix of Eastern European and Gipsy Roma music with a distinctive Leeds accent.
Songo Drumming Project will be bring the rhythms of Africa, whilst Sounds Like A Storm will entertain with alternative rock . The Leeds City Stompers bring the red hot jazz sounds of prohibition America.
The day will kick off with the lilting Caribbean south of South Steel, rendering your favourite songs in the steel pan style. Your host for the day will be DJ Danny who will be entertaining the crowd between sets.
As with all Friends of Middleton Park events, the café in the visitor centre will be open serving tea coffee and home made cakes.
It all sounds like a perfect Sunday afternoon to us.
