Do you care about your local park? Just a reminder that the AGM and public meeting of the Friends of Middleton Park, which we mentioned last week, is being held tonight and residents are cordially invited to attend.
It’s being held at Middleton Methodist Church, Hopewell View at 7 pm. Refreshments will be served from 6.30 pm onwards.
The annual meeting elects the officers and trustees for the coming year, and reports on the charities finances and years events are presented. There will be a discussion on the coming Lottery Fund changes to the park, and how the Friends will manage while the Lakeside Centre is being rebuilt (work finally started this week – ed).
After the business of the annual meeting, John Hudson, renowned potter and expert in Slipware pottery, will give a talk on local pottery.
