Vastint UK, the developer behind Aire Park, Leeds’ newest mixed-use development on the site of the Tetley brewery in Hunslet, is hosting a drop-in consultation on its next phase of development.
The session, which will take place at The Tetley on Tuesday 13 June 2023 from 4-7pm, comes ahead of the first detailed residential planning submission on the site. It offers interested parties the chance to find out more about the 651 new homes being created across three buildings, as well as the high quality public amenities that will be delivered, including the largest new green park in the UK.
With outline permission for the first half of the development granted in December 2018, including 850 new homes, offices, shops, a hotel and the new city park, this consultation will provide an opportunity for visitors to have their say on the detailed building deisgns and offer feedback on the proposed layout of the new residential buildings. Plans for the first of two multi-storey car parks on the development will also be shared.
Attendees to the drop-in event will also be able to speak to members of Vastint’s planning team, as well as representatives from the architects and Stantec, who are supporting the developer on this scheme.
Simon Schofield, Head of Development at Vastint UK, said:
“We’re excited to be progressing with the next phase of Aire Park following the successful delivery of our first office buildings and the start on site of our third. As a long-term investor into Leeds, we believe it’s important that we engage in a conversation with our neighbours about the future direction of the development.
“The submission of planning for the first residential buildings on the site is another major milestone, and we welcome any feedback on our plans as we look to create a new district for residents and workers to enjoy.”
The consultation event is just one way interested parties can have their say on the current plans. Those unable to make the session can find out more information about the plans at airepark.co.uk, provide feedback on the plans via email to email@example.com or freepost to: Freepost Vastint UK.
The deadline for comments is Tuesday 20 June 2023.
