Police issue Beeston arson appeal

Police are appealing for witnesses following arson at a house on Redhall Crescent, Beeston.

The incident happened between 11pm and 11.40pm on Sunday 22 April.

The suspect is believed to have approached the front door and set fire to a rubbish bag which was pushed up against the door.

The occupant, a 21-year-old man, was rescued by West Yorkshire Fire Service from a first floor window. He did not require any medical treatment.

The fire caused considerable damage to the front door / porch area and the ground floor window.
