The Holbeck Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) is appealing for witnesses and information after a number of allotments on Kenneth Street, off Shafton Lane, were vandalised.
Around 16 allotments are believed to have been attacked between 10pm last Tuesaday and 5.30am last Wednesday, with damage caused to windows, fencing, and animal pens such as chicken coops.
Inspector Damien Miller, who leads the NPT, said:
“We understand how upsetting and frustrating these incidents are for the allotment holders, and along with making enquiries to trace those responsible we will be carrying out high-visibility patrols in the local area to offer reassurance and to prevent this happening again.
“I would encourage anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area to contact officers via 0845 6060606.”
