Police appeal after attempted abduction in Middleton

City & Holbeck police are appealing for information after a man tried to pull a girl into a car in Middleton.

Between 6.30pm and 6.45pm on Monday, December 17, two men in a saloon-type car approached the 11-year-old at the junction of Acre Road and Thorpe Gardens.

One of the men got out the car and tried to pull her into the vehicle but the girl struggled and managed to run off.

He was described as being of mixed race, aged 20 to 30, 5ft 7ins to 6ft tall, and of skinny build. He had a large dark coloured facial tattoo and was wearing a grey tracksuit with three orange stripes on the sleeves and legs. He also wore green trainers.

The other man was described as white and aged about 20.
