Beeston Juniors football club under 15s team are struggling for players, but they’ve vowed not to give up.
Last Sunday (7 September 2014) they played their first match of the season with only nine men. After being beaten 18-1 the manager asked the players if they wanted to give up. Each and every one wanted to carry on!
Phil George, Chairman of Beeston Juniors said:
“We are desperate for new players, ability is not important as the emphasis is definitely on having fun. We are also looking for players at other age groups too, if anyone is interested they can contact me for details.”
The club, which is based at Cardinal Square in Beeston, are also looking for sponsors for the current season. This could be anything from £5 to sponsor a match ball, all the way up to sponsoring a full kit which would cost between £300-£500.
