One community, many languages in Middleton

Middleton Park Baptist Chuch
Times are changing in Middleton

Given today’s posts on South Leeds Life seem to have a theme developing about multiculturalism  and the diversity of the community where we live, I couldn’t resist taking this picture at lunchtime.

I’d just got off the bus on Middleton Park Avenue and saw this sign outside Middleton Park Baptist Church encouraging people to come to the church. There’s nothing unusual about that, except the word ‘welcome’ was spelled out in French, German, Portugeuse and Polish, which I thought was a really nice touch and a reflection on who makes up the wonderfully diverse communities of south Leeds.

I hope this embracing attitude by the church pays off for them. Oh, and you can also join Slimming World, of course!
