A memory garden is being created at the front of Beeston Village Community Centre for people to commemorate, celebrate and remember anyone they’ve lost.
The garden will give people the opportunity to remember somebody special and plant a rose, a herb, a shrub, or a flower, in their memory. A ‘Memory Book’ will also be held at the centre giving local people the opportunity to write down memories of their loved ones, if they wish.
The Memory Garden project is open to anybody, creating a vital area of beautiful green and floral space in Beeston, and giving local people the opportunity to connect with one another. Anybody is welcome. The project is a partnership with Beeston in Bloom and is part of Royal Horticultural Society’s ‘Connecting Communities’ project.
