An special ceremony was held today to coincide with the grand unveiling of a refurbished inner city library funded by local councillors.
Councillor Elizabeth Nash and her colleagues Patrick Davey and Mohammed Iqbal took the decision to spend £70.5k of Area Committee funding to refurbish Hunslet Library, including repairs to the roofand the windows, internal refurbishments and new equipment. This will include abrand new self service facility, new computers and book stock.
In celebration of the improvements and to coincide with the grand unveiling of the new facilities,a spoecial event saw old photographs of the area displayed along with a story time for children and a local history quiz fo radults. Staff were on hand to show customers how to begin tracing their own family tree.
