Sophie Bevan from South Leeds Music Centre has been in touch with this update:
After having to close two weeks in a row because of the snow, the South Leeds Music Centre saw a lot of new members on Saturday, with keyboard class and our under 8’s class – the Mini Music Makers being the most popular.
It’s great to see so many new faces, and at just £3.65 per lesson for under 18s, the music centre is a low cost way to take up a new hobby!
South Leeds Music Centre runs every Saturday in term time from 9:45am – 12:15pm at Cockburn High School, Gipsy Lane, Beeston.
We still have some room in our keyboard classes, with beginner lessons starting at 10:30am on Saturdays. We also have spaces in our Mini Music Makers’ class, which is specially designed for under 8s as an introduction to learning music. This class works on learning rhythms and playing musical games as well as singing and learning about different types of music.
For our full range of lessons and ensembles, please visit the music centre’s web page or find us on Facebook.
If you would like to volunteer at the music centre and get an award for it, please see our *new* VInspired page.
