Middleton St Mary’s C of E School has added a cross filled with flower bulbs to its community garden with the help of around 150 children and local volunteers from the church and the Friends of Middleton Park.
The cross celebrates 200 years of faith schools in Leeds and teaching assistant Sarah Tarrant said that the planting was all about the joy and excitement of pupils.
Bulbs were provided by Groundwork Leeds and the council with financial support from Addleshaw Goddard Solicitors.
