Middleton Primary pupils enjoy Easter School fun

Pupils at Middleton Primary School have been taking part in a lively and enriching Easter School programme, combining outdoor learning, healthy living and memorable educational experiences.

One of the highlights of the week was a visit to Lotherton Hall, where children had the opportunity to see a variety of animals and learn more about the natural world in an engaging, hands-on environment. The trip proved popular with pupils, who enjoyed the chance to observe the animals up close and explore the historic grounds.

Back at school, the focus turned to healthy lifestyles and practical skills. Pupils prepared their own healthy breakfasts, developing a better understanding of nutritious food choices while also building confidence and independence.

The children also spent time gardening and caring for plants around the school grounds, contributing to the upkeep of the outdoor spaces and learning about the importance of looking after the environment. The activities encouraged teamwork, responsibility and a sense of pride in their school community.

Staff said the Easter School had provided pupils with a valuable mix of learning experiences, helping them to stay active and engaged during the holiday period. The programme was described as a real success, with children benefitting from the opportunity to try new activities, spend time outdoors and enjoy a positive, supportive atmosphere.
