A blazing hot competition to spark the imagination of pupils at schools across south Leeds has been launched by Leeds City Council with support from the White Rose Centre and its owner Land Securities.

Pupils are being invited to produce a poster themed around Bonfire Night and fireworks, which will help to promote this year’s display at Middleton Park on Friday, November 4.

The winner, whose poster will be featured at the White Rose and other prominent locations in south Leeds, will receive an art set and certificate and their school will be presented with £100 worth of gardening vouchers.

The closing date for the poster competition is Friday, October 14 and further details are available by calling Malcolm Simpson on 2375251 or emailing malcolm.simpson@leeds.gov.uk
