Middleton event provides information on fostering

Leeds City Council currently has an urgent need for foster carers and is currently seeking carers who can foster babies and very young children.

The authority is holding an information/recruitment event in Middleton in the new year for people in south Leeds who may be interested in fostering.

To foster children in the 0-5 year old age range, at least one carer in the house must be able to foster care full time. They would need to have a spare bedroom and be a non smoker. Allowances and fees are paid. People can visit www.foster4leeds.co.uk for more information.

Over the next few months the council is holding some recruitment evenings at various venues across Leeds where people can pop in and chat to our foster carer recruitment team and in some cases current foster carers. Details of these are on the www.foster4leeds.co.uk website.

The Middleton event will be held on Wednesday, 13 February in the Lynne Barthorpe room at the St George’s Centre, 4-8pm.
