JD Gyms welcomed Mark Sewards MP to JD Gyms Leeds South at Millshaw on Friday 23 January 2026, as part of his commitment to fitness, bringing the community together and the role of the physical activity sector in reducing pressure on the NHS.
The Leeds South West and Morley MP was given a tour of the facility and met with staff and customers to learn more about the services, seeing firsthand how the JD Gyms facility plays a huge role in supporting the physical, mental and social well-being of the community, as well as trying out their brand-new fitness class for 2026: JD ENGINE.
Mark Sewards said of the visit:
“The JD Gym on the edge of Leeds South West & Morley is a great example of how fitness can help so many people reach their personal health and wellbeing goals.
“Facilities like this one are essential for encouraging active lifestyles, something that will make people happier and healthier, which can help relieve pressure on our NHS.
“And with the new year giving many of us a fresh start, it’s great to have facilities that help people get moving and stay motivated. I certainly was made to feel very welcome, despite being thoroughly tested by the excellent workout.”
