Mapped: Olympic torch route in south Leeds

On Monday 25 June, the Olympic Torch’s journey around the country goes from Leeds Town Hall and travels through the city centre before heading to the Royal Armouries and South Leeds.

Then it goes over historic Leeds Bridge to Church Street in Hunslet (at 7.43am), along Balm Road and Moor Road, and is then taken on a lap of the John Charles Centre for Sport’s running track.

From the sports centre it then it goes up to Dewsbury Road for a short stretch at 8.23am and through Beeston – including Tempest Road, Beeston Road, Town Street and Wesley Street.

It then passes Leeds United’s Elland Road stadium and onto Heath Road. It stops there before heading by convoy to Morley and out of the city.
