Man in court charged with the Dewsbury Road murder

A man has appeared in court today (17 December 2019) charged with murder in relation to the death of a man in Beeston last week.

Kearon Barker, aged 30, of Cardinal Crescent, Beeston, appeared at Leeds Magistrates Court this morning charged over the death of Keith Harrower, who was also known as Joshua French, who died after being stabbed in an incident outside the Premier supermarket on Dewsbury Road in Beeston shortly before 5:30pm on Thursday 12 December.

Barker, who has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon, was remanded in custody to appear at Leeds Crown Court tomorrow (18 December).

A 33-year-old man, who was arrested in Leeds on Sunday (15 December) on suspicion of murder, remains in custody.
