Major new kids event hits Leeds this Wednesday

This week sees a major new Leeds event – for kids, young people and families to get creative and build giant dens together… or castles, spaceships, robots (in association with the city-wide March of the Robots programme), or almost anything!

The free event is on Wednesday (6th August), anytime between 11am-4pm at Victoria Gardens – outside the City Library + Art Gallery on the Headrow in town. All den building KIT will be provided, although you can bring your own. Bring your Breeze Card for fast track entry + a gift. Prizes will be awarded for the best dens.

And thanks to one of the funding pots, residents in City and Hunslet ward (which includes Beeston Hill, around Tempest Road) can even reclaim their bus fares for the day! (Not sure if you live in City and Hunslet? Click here for full info and map.)

To get full info on the event, visit leedsdenfest.eventbrite.co.uk. Or click here for a downloadable poster.

The Leeds Den Festival is brought to you by Together for Peace (T4P), March of the Robots and Playful Leeds, Leeds City Council’s Child Friendly Leeds, Better Leeds Communities, the Tetley, Leeds Play Network, and a load of fantastic volunteers. And thanks to Community First (City + Hunslet), the City Centre Youth Activity Fund, and the Inner South Area Committee Youth Activities Fund for their financial support.
