Leeds Junior Festival of Technology Coming to South Leeds

The Hunslet Club is delighted to be hosting the inaugural LSxJunior, the cities’ first technology festival for children & families on Sunday September 25th.

Organised by LSx, a collective of technology professionals, this event was born from a desire to make technology events in Leeds more inclusive for families. For this first year, LSx Junior will run from 10am to 3.30pm and feature a number of free workshops and activities for families.

The sessions confirmed so far are…

Knee High Photowalk
Grab a point and click camera or camera phone and join us on on a guided walk. 

Stop Motion Animation
Bring your LEGO and create your own animated story from start to finish.

Mood Lamps
Got an old mobile phone charger lying around? bring it along and recycle it into a lamp

Make your own (pinhole) Camera
Make your own camera out of a matchbox and a roll of film

Friispray
You’ll be able to have a go at virtual graffiti courtesy of the Jam Jar Collective

Shoot Your Parents! 

Putting kids behind the camera and parents in front to help them shoot some portrait shots
