Lane End families in Easter Bake Off

The children and families of Lane End Primary School in Beeston showed off their baking skills at the first annual Great Easter Bake Off competition.

The children were inspired to bake and create biscuits, buns or cakes that had an Easter or Spring theme. On the day of the competition, everyone was delighted to see over 50 egg shaped cakes, decorated with easter bunnies, trays of chocolate nests and chicks in baskets, plates full of mini marshmallow spring lamb cupcakes and egg shaped cookies! It was amazing!

A tricky judging then took place – with the winners being announced in the weekly Achievement Assembly. Everyone was a winner however, as the baking was then sold to all the families – so that all the school community enjoyed the yummy entries. All proceeds were collected to support the Lane End Primary Stage Fundraising Appeal.

The staff can’t wait to see what next year’s competition brings!
