Kirsty is kept very busy in the kitchen

ciramHere is PCSO Kirsty Johnson doing her bit for the community in her spare time by cooking up a treat for elderly residents.

Kirsty volunteers for a local charity…, the Ciaran Bingham Foundation Trust, who operate the Holbeck Feast Café on the last Saturday of the month at Ingram Gardens Community Centre in Holbeck. She does most of the cooking there and gives her a good chance to catch up with some of the elderly residents.

The Ciaran Bingham Foundation Trust (CBFT) has been founded to support and deliver projects aimed predominantly at helping elderly and vulnerable people in the community as well as identifying ways all social groups can come together.

On Christmas Day last year she helped them out with delivering six Christmas dinners to elderly people in the area. They delivered over 90 in total in the Holbeck, Beeston, Middleton, Belle Isle and Cottingley areas.cir bing

Quote: Kenneth Ingram. “I was one of the volunteers delivering the meals on Christmas day, and know how much the elderly appreciated the Meals. Me and my co-driver delivered meals to Morley and Gildersome.”
