Kidz Klub charity in 24 hour run challenge

This weekend (6-7 May 2022) local children’s charity Kidz Klub Leeds are running the length of the Leeds Liverpool Canal in 24 hours!

A team of 15 runners will be relay running to achieve the127 mile challenge in just 24 hours. The team will be setting off from Liverpool’s Stanley Docks on Friday 6 May and finishing sometime between 11:15 am and 12 noon on Saturday 7 May at Granary Wharf in Leeds (outside the Double Tree Hilton). Anyone who would like to join the welcome party at Granary Wharf is very welcome (at 11:15 am).

For the past 22 years Kidz Klub Leeds have supported over 26,000 inner city children in their communities, homes and schools including children locally in Beeston, Cottingley, Holbeck and Middleton. They have had to adapt their work to meet the growing needs during the Covid crisis. In addition to doorstep home visits, Kidz Klub sessions and Hub Klubs, the team have been busy supporting families practically when they have needed it the most.

If you would like to support local children through sponsoring the relay run team this weekend you can do so on the Kidz Klub website: www.kidzklubleeds.org.uk
