What is there for kids to do this half term?

Here’s a bit of a round up of activities for children in South Leeds during the October 2016 half term holiday:

The Hunslet Club

The Hunslet Club will be running their usual Activity Camp with lots to do for boys and girls in Key Stage 1 and above. The camp runs from Monday 24 to Friday 28 October, 8:45am-3pm. Contact Donna Hall on (0113) 271 6489; or email: dhall@hunsletclub.org.uk.

The club are also running a football camp all week. 9am-12pm for Years 1, 2 and 3; 12-3pm for Year 4 upwards. Email: cgilmour@hunsletclub.org.uk.

South Leeds Youth Hub

Youth Services are running trips to and Raceway Karting, Flamingo Land Scarefest and Doncaster Dome for children aged 11-19 from Middleton and Belle Isle. For more information ring Alison Dixon on 07981 277407.

Middleton Leisure Centre

The centre has activities all week. Monday and Wednesday at 11am it’s Badminton for 8-12 years; Monday-Wednesday 10-11am Stiker 9 Football for 5-8 years; Tuesday 11am-12pm squash and racketball. Every day there is an open football session for 8-16 years on the 3G pitch between 2-4pm.

John Charles Centre For Sport

There’s a Big Family Splash session in the Aquatics Centre on Monday, Wednesdayy and Friday between 12-1:30pm. Triathlon Training Camp for 10-16 years runs on Wednesday.

Belle Isle Family Centre

The centre is holding a free Halloween party on Friday 28 October 2-4pm featuring fancy dress, arts and crafts and a disco. Contact (0113) 277 4819.

BITMO’s GATE centre

Also in Belle Isle, the regular Happy Friday Breakfast Club will become the Haunted and Frightening Breakfast Club on 28 October. Come in fancy dress for a morning of spooktacular fun.

The Holbeck

The club is hosting a free family film showing of Hotel Transylvania (U) on Tuesday 25 October at 6pm.
