Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips made a surprise visit to the Beeston Juniors Football Club’s Skills camp on 6 August 2019.
The two day camp, which attracted over 40 youngsters, was run by Leeds United’s Foundation who linked up with a number of different grassroots clubs to provide educational football sessions across the Leeds area to help keep children active and healthy over the summer break.
Janine Findlay from Beeston Juniors told South Leeds Life:
“The children were all excited to meet Kalvin Phillips (some of them for the second time after he met with our players for presentation day), he was fantastic with them, signing shirts, balls and boots for everyone, posing for photographs and chatting.
“He also had a question and answer session with the children who asked a range of questions from ‘who is your funniest teammate?’ to ‘are you staying at Leeds?’
“Every child left with a certificate and some were presented with special awards.”
