Join Beeston photohunt and show The Secret Millionaire how great we are!

It’s Beeston Festival on June 9 when the community will come together and celebrate the incredible multicultural mix that binds the area together.

Following this week’s Secret Millionaire TV programme – in which theatre producer David King was carjacked in Hunslet and referred to the area as ‘stab city’ – South Leeds Life wanted to highlight the positives of our community.

So we’ve teamed up with the Looking Good Beeston and Holbeck photography project, (run in conjunction with Exposure Leeds) and Leeds Photo Hunt to run the Beeston Festival Photohunt.

The aim of the photohunt is for people to come along and take positive photographs of the events and people that highlight Beeston at its best. Photographs could be of the people at the festival or its events (with permission from individuals concerned, of course!). We’re also hoping to take a look around historic Holbeck Cemetery, which is one of the area’s under-rated gems and has fantastic views of the city centre and west Leeds.

Meet at 1pm at the main entrance to the cemetery off Beeston Road (directly opposite the park). For m ore details, email southleedslife@gmail.com.

You may remember last November a similar photohunt was held around the Holbeck area. Fancy trying your own Beeston and Holbeck Photohunt? Find out how here.
