It’s time to play golf!

Looking at the weather it’s difficult to believe its April next week but hopefully this week’s snow is the last of the winter and we’ll soon be greeted by warm sunshine and clear blue skies. If you could do with taking up more exercise why not start playing golf?

Golf course Middleton 1While prices have increased by about 3% you can still have a round of golf at Middleton Park on a weekday for £12.35 or, if you have a LeedsCard Extra or LeedsCard 60 it only costs £8.65.

If you get hooked then you could take out a season ticket which allows you to play on any of Leeds’ four municipal golf courses (Gotts Park, Middleton Park, Roundhay Park and Temple Newsam). Given the first two courses are under a threat of closure – more about what’s happening about that in a future article – this might be the last year you have this opportunity. A full price, play any day season ticket is £465 – if you have a LeedsCard Extra or LeedsCard 60 then a Monday to Friday season ticket costs £268.

Hope to see you on the course!
