There are not enough mental health practitioners in the area.  I’ve had mental health problems and I had to wait six months to see someone at Touchstone. They took many notes of my problems and then I had to wait another ten months until I saw a mental health practitioner at Hunslet health centre. I completed six weekly meetings with this lady and was discharged.

So there are not enough people qualified to speak to patients on these sorts of problems.  I’m sure other comments will come from others reporters at the meeting, so I will leave it there.

There are many potholes on Belle Isle Road going up to the top end where you turn to go to Middleton. These seem to be near speed bumps and going over these even at low speeds can be a problem. The potholes are near grates as well. Kim said these are being seen to and when I passed the other day they are, but some still need to be completed.

I saw Kim a couple of weeks ago about the Trolleybus. I brought up the subject again. Kim had told me at that time that NGT said that the new Trolleybus route would go into Belle Isle Circus, of course trees and grass would be lost.

Kim repeated that the council would not let this happen. It would go straight down Winrose Grove from the Circus. So I was glad to hear that. I also asked Kim if she thought it a good thing for the trolleybus to come to Bells Isle, she said it was a good idea and that we have to live in the 21 century.
