Hello, I’m Martyn White. I’ve started the Community Journalism course today and it seems interesting.
I retired last year and was trying to decide what to do with my spare time. For a while I’ve been learning how to operate a computer.Quite a bit of my time is spent reading and looking round the areas of Leeds that I used to know quite well when I was younger. I’m interested in photography, and I wish that I’d taken more pictures of the area where I used to live.
Sadly a great deal of old Beeston and Hunslet has disappeared, due to various redevelopments. I wish that I’d recorded on film where I grew up and the people that I knew.
Quite a few people that I know have commented how things have changed. Both the environment and different attitudes to how things are done.
