Hunslet legend Peter Jarvis celebrates his 70th

Recently appointed Hunslet Hawks Heritage Director, Peter Jarvis celebrated his birthday in one of the Garden Gate’s Heritage rooms, which he helped to create.

Family, friends, supporters and former team mates joined him for a quiet drink, which saw Peter Dunn, who had travelled from Romania, pass on his knowledge to a young supporter.

It wasn’t long before the two Peters were packing down along with Neil Lean, one of a few men to have played for all three Leeds clubs: Hunslet, Leeds and Bramley. The afternoon ended with the singing of ‘We swept the seas before boys’ and ‘Glory, glory Albert Goldthorpe.’
