Police are appealing for an injured cyclist involved in a collision with a vehicle in the Holbeck area to come forward after he rode off from the scene.
Officers are concerned for his safety and want to ensure that he has sought any necessary medical attention.
The incident occurred around 4.50pm on Monday on Sydenham Street when the cyclist who was thought to be around 15/16 years of age was struck by a silver coloured Nissan Almera vehicle.
The cyclist appeared to suffer an injury to his leg but declined an ambulance and left the scene without giving his details to the concerned motorist.
A police spokesman said:
“The cyclist is not any trouble but we would simply like to check that he’s OK and would ask him to get in touch.”
The cyclist was riding a small bike with a predominantly white coloured frame and was with another cyclist around the same age who was not injured.
Police are asking the cyclist or anyone who knows him to contact PC Darren Round at the Eastern Area Roads Policing Team via: 101.
