Help for Asylum Seekers and Refugees in South Leeds

RETAS is pleased to have received funding from the Leeds Community Foundation for the expansion of our Welcome to Leeds Drop-in services, which helps to facilitate the settlement of refugees and asylum seekers who have recently moved into the area.

In order to reach out to a greater number of individuals who could benefit from the support that we provide, we have launched a new drop-in service at the Church of Nazarene in South Leeds with support from the church community.

The RETAS team are waiting to welcome you

We offer a range of key support through the Welcome to Leeds Project such as:

  • Advising and supporting clients to access various services such as the Library, Doctors Surgery and Schools.
  • Enabling clients to find social/ leisure groups or events to help them feel increasingly settled and comfortable in Leeds.
  • Helping individuals find their way around Leeds, matching volunteers for those who would like extra guidance.
  • Supporting clients to access English classes either at RETAS or other organisations and booking appointments with advisers for any further support with education, employment or other matters.

Come along and meet us at:

Our drop in session at The Church of Nazarene in partnership with RETAS, Monday 11am to 1pm, 2 Hunslet Hall Road, Leeds, LS11 6TT.
