Hawks help Trust spread Christmas cheer

Hunslet Hawks rugby league club are joining forces with the Ciaran Bingham Foundation Trust (CBFT) to help make this year’s Christmas a little more enjoyable for some of the older and more isolated members of our community.

The Trust do a brilliant job in ensuring the elderly and vulnerable people have a Christmas meal and more importantly the company of others on the big day. The Hawks minibus will ferry guests to the Vale Circles café in Beeston where they’ll enjoy a hearty Christmas dinner and some festive cheer.

Hawks Community Director Phil Hodgson said:

“The work people like Nick and Margaret Bingham do in the community is inspiring. They have over 35 volunteers working on Christmas Day and will be serving over 100 meals. We are proud to be involved in this small way and look forward to building stronger links with the Trust in 2016”.

The club would also like to thank John Clayton, from Tricks of the Trade, for sponsoring our involvement in the day.

If you would like to get involved this Christmas you can call the Ciaran Bingham Foundation Trust – Margaret Bingham: 07538 273945 or Andrea Edwards: 07803 788812.
