Organisers of The Great Middleton Park Show are urging local residents to showcase their crafts and produce as the annual show returns for its seventh year on Sunday (11 September 2016) from 1 – 4pm. Set to be the biggest event yet categories include veg, fruit, home produce, and arts and crafts with a junior section available in each.
The annual show is a popular event in the Middleton Park calendar and this year is welcoming a special guest, with a live outside broadcast by BBC Leeds Aaron Hickman. Aaron will be judging on the day alongside broadcasting live on the Sunday Gardening Programme.
Frances Jones is one of the volunteers at The Friends of Middleton Park, helping to orgainise the event said:
“We are delighted that Aaron has agreed to join us to help judge on the day and we are all incredibly excited about the event. To have BBC Leeds joining us live showing the rest of Leeds all the fantastic things the park does is amazing and just shows how much this event has grown in the last seven years.”
The Great Middleton Park Show is a fun day out for the whole family, the event will also feature stalls and refreshments as well as activities and entertainment.
