The acclaimed Works skatepark in Hunslet are inviting young people from across south Leeds to come try their hand at skateboarding, scooting and BMXing this summer – for just £3 for the whole day, any day.
Youngsters are welcome anytime between 10am-8pm any Monday to Friday, and 10am-7pm Saturdays and Sundays. Those aged 13 and up can come unaccompanied – and although under 13s do need to be accompanied, there’s a cafe upstairs for parents and carers to escape to! No booking necessary. Bring your own kit, or borrow it there. This summer promotion runs until Monday 3rd September.
Elliott Turnball, CEO for the Works, commented:
“We’re all about providing affordable opportunities for local youngsters, and that’s especially key during these long summer holidays. We’ve everything here to keep a variety of kids entertained, and safe, in all weathers – so they’re happy, and parents can have full peace of mind, all for less than buying an online movie. We’d love to see you down here soon!”
The well-established and popular centre – on Kitson Road (LS10 1NT), in the industrial park just off Low Road – is a specialist indoor venue, with a wide range of ramps and circuits, suitable for all levels from beginner to pro. It’s open year-round, also running alternative education schemes in term time, as well as competitions, community projects, special events, and more.
