Free half term family cycling activities in Cross Flatts Park

Looking for ideas to keep the kids entertained this half term?

Join the West Yorkshire Combined Authority for free family cycling activities at Cross Flatts Park, Beeston on Wednesday (27 October 2021), 1–3pm.

There will be balance bike activities for the little ones and a cycling obstacle course for older children, as well as bike checks and minor repairs.  West Yorkshire Police will also be offering bike security marking.

The activities, which will take place at the Dewsbury Road end of the park, are free of charge and open to all.  Bikes and helmets will be provided.

Would you like to walk or cycle more, but don’t know where to start?  From route information to free adult cycle training, the Combined Authority’s CityConnect team will also be on hand with advice and support to help you get started.

The sessions are being held to celebrate Leeds’s new Dewsbury Road cycle route, which has been delivered through the Combined Authority’s CityConnect programme in partnership with Leeds City Council.

The CityConnect programme is aimed at enabling more people to travel on foot and by bike.

From route information to free adult cycle training, find out how the team can help you walk and cycle more at cyclecityconnect.co.uk
