Level 1 Certificate in Employability Skills is designed for learners who wish to develop their knowledge and understanding of the world of work.
A competitive job market presents the need for learners to be fully equipped with employment skills to gain work. This qualification enables learners to explore a broad range of essential skills; including job search skills, personal preparation for employment, self-improvement and effective behaviour at work.
Level 1 Certificate in Construction- starts 12 February 2018
(Plus Level 1 Certificate in Health & Safety in a Construction Environment) with links to a National Employer to offer site visits, work placements & interviews for jobs in Leeds!
This qualification will help develop skills and knowledge in construction and the built environment. It will help students to understand the industry and sector as they gain academic knowledge and study skills that will support their progression within this field.
Pearson BTEC Level 2 Award for Working as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry- starts 5 March 2018
Door supervisors must hold a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work in the UK, but they need a relevant, SIA-recognised qualification to apply for a licence. This qualification allows door supervisors to apply for their SIA licence.
Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Working in the Health Sector – starts 26 March 2018
This qualification aims to provide a broad knowledge of the health sector industry. The optional units cover a wide range of subjects that learners will find useful in a variety of roles. Learners will also develop skills to assist them in being more able to deal with work related problems.
Level 2 Certificate in Retail Knowledge- starts 23 April 2018
This qualification aims to provide a broad knowledge of the Retail industry. The optional units cover a wide range of subjects that learners will find useful in a variety of roles particularly in customer service and team work. Learners will also develop skills to assist them in being more able to deal with work related problems.
ALL COURSES ARE FREE IF YOU ARE AGED 19 OR OVER, UNEMPLOYED AND IN RECEIPT OF BENEFIT. YOU WILL RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE FOR EACH COURSE YOU PASS AND COMPLETE.
All courses are run over 2 days (every Monday at St Georges Centre Middleton and Wednesdays at BITMO GATE)
