Former Hunslet Club Member Jason Robinson Inducted Into Rugby Players Association Hall of Fame

Former Hunslet Club member and later Rugby World Cup Winner Jason Robinson OBE has been inducted into the Rugby Players Association Hall of Fame.

At the annual association dinner in London, Jason said “For me to be thought of in this way is superb and something I am extremely proud of, Sometimes you don’t realise what you have been part of for all these years.

“Rugby union for me, especially after a very successful career in rugby league, has made a good career great, and I am delighted to receive such an award.”

Jason grew up in South Leeds, attending the Hunslet Club where he first learnt to play rugby. He recently returned to the club to open new facilities including a games zone, workshops and changing facilities. Said Dennis Robbins, Chief Executive Officer at the club. “We congratulate Jason on this fantastic award, he was and continues to be a superb role model for children and young people who attend the club today, as he did all those years ago.”
