First team and player of the week announced by South Leeds Allstars

The South Leeds Allstars have ended a really enjoyable week by announcing our first player and team of the week.

Player of the week has been awarded to our Saturday teams Nacer Atta who was absolutely fantastic in leading the midfield against Bessacarr FC. We unfortunately lost the game 4-3 but they all battled back really well from 4-1 down to give themselves hope of the draw in the last few minutes but couldn’t find the 4th goal. Overall a really impressive display by this squad who out of the 16 that played the game only 4 have played competitive football before and this was the first match they have played as a team. Goals in this game was scored by Harley, Deacon and Nacer.

Our Sunday team started their pre season schedule with a 3-1 win over Beeston Juniors, this again was a competitive game on a fantastic evening for football with the sun shining down on the South Leeds Youth Hub 3G pitch. We tried numerous formations throughout the game and had 4 debutants within the squad who all played their part. Goals in this game was scored by Dillon & Kaiser x2.

Our team of the week consisted this week of players from both teams and it showed how well both groups performed within their matches.

Upcoming schedule for this week is:

Allstars Sundays vs Kellingley Welfare @ South Leeds Hub, Thursday 13 July, 6:30pm kick off
Allstars Saturdays vs Barlby Raiders @ Barlby High School, Saturday 15 July, 10:30am kick off.
