This Sunday (25th November) between 2-4pm, girls from The Shine Project’s group ‘The South Leeds Young Girls Truth Commission’ (SLY for short!) are running a Family Fun Day at The Shine Nail Bar, Beeston Hill.
SLY is a group of girls from South Leeds who come together to talk about the issues we have and our community and what we could do to make it better. The focus of the day is to raise money for charities chosen by our group; The Market Place focussing on young people’s mental health, Simon on the Streets working with homelessness and Dogs Trust looking after animal welfare – these are all charities we feel passionate about!
During the afternoon, staff from the nail bar will be offering a ‘pay as you feel’ file & polish, other activities taking place are face glitter, a raffle, bake sale, gifts to buy and refreshments plus more!
Who’s welcome? Everyone! Please pop in and support your local community and us!
