Dynamite fundraising evening for U.S. trip

 

Leeds Dynamite, the Middleton-based, world-beating Cheerleading group are holding a fundraising evening on Friday 17th May.

Dynamite 2The event, which is being held at Middleton Conservative Club from 7:30 to 11pm, is part of their drive to raise funds so that the squad can compete at world championships in Virginia USA next year. Dynamite’s success at recent UK chamionships led to an invitation to compete stateside next year, but the group need to raise an estimated £50,000 for travel, accommodation, costumes, etc.

Danielle Watkins who runs the group explains:

“It is really important that everyone in the squad can go. None of us have got much money, but we stick together and raise the money we need to carry on and compete. As it says on our hoodies – Don’t dream it, Be it

“Dynamite is like a family. Dancing brings people together, the mums as well as the young people. We really hope the bigger family of Middleton will come and support us”.
