The donkeys are back in Hunslet!
Next Sunday (24 March 2024) at 2pm, our two donkeys will journey through the streets of Hunslet for Palm Sunday. Will you join the Celebration Parade?
The event has been arranged by Hunslet Gathering – Hunslet’s new Anglican church in Hunslet.
We’ll start wandering from Church Street next to St Mary’s Spire at 2pm, travel between the Hemingway flats, followed by a stop off at Assisi Place. We will then meander through the estate stopping along the way, to finally arrive at Hunslet Church of the Nazarene around 3:15pm.
Then it’s donkey rides, refreshments and celebration.
Each stop will include an Easter reading by an all-star cast of local children and adults. Music will also be played throughout the walks between the stops. We’ll use leaves and flags to celebrate.
We would love you and your loved ones to be part of the fun this Easter time by either joining in all or part of the journey or meeting us at one (or more) of the stops.
Further details on the event including the route can be found on the Hunslet Gathering Facebook page, the church website or email hello@hunsletgathering.org. Alternatively contact me, Revd Jean-Louis on 0785 0701 588.
