Holbeck Together is launching a new meal takeaway service for the Holbeck community. From Monday (1 February 2021), you’ll be able to pick up a hot, nutritious takeaway jacket potato for only £2.50 from St Matthews Community Centre in Holbeck.
In addition to the takeaway service, they will also be running a delivery service to older members of the community, to ensure those who can’t get out themselves can enjoy the service too.
There’ll be a range of freshly prepared hot and cold, seasonal toppings such as beef chilli, prawn mayo, salad, tuna, beans and cheese.
The service is available to all ages, though delivery is currently being prioritised for our older community living locally.
“Our meals on wheels service has been so popular and a real lifeline for many during the pandemic. We’re always trying to develop our services and wanted to extend our offer to another day and make it available to all ages.
“When we’re able to, there will be a café-style option to dine in and enjoy a dinner jacket. It will be wonderful to welcome people back in person when it’s safe to do so” said Chef Julie
Holbeck Together were delighted to receive funding for a new potato oven from the Leeds Building Society Foundation, which will also support our holiday club for local families.
If you’re interested in picking up a dinner jacket or know of someone who’d benefit from a delivery, give Holbeck Together a call to place an order or find out more on (0113) 245 5553. Jackets meals are £2.50 each and available for collection every Monday from 12-1pm.
