On the 3rd of March The Annual Dementia for a cuppa event will be held at BITMOs GATE, from 12pm. The Dementia for a cuppa event is in its 10th anniversary year.

I’m personally getting worse with my Dementia so Will be my last year involved with this event. Hopefully can carry on a annual event with Carla and some help.
We held this event 2 years ago when we raised money for Admiral Nurses who look after people and families who have Dementia and Alzheimer’s.
On the day we will have raffles, sell Buns and Cakes. If you can donate a prize or your baking for the event please let me or Carla know.
We will on the day have hot dogs and drinks the proceeds of this to go to the charity.
Unfortunately the Lord Mayer cannot be at the event this year, but I asked if we could have as a prize, tea for 2 with the Lord Mayer and a tour around the Civic Hall. The Lord Mayer had donated this as 1st prize in the raffle and increased the numbers to 4 who can now enjoy this prize. This tour is not to be missed.
I have sent a letter to Buckingham Palace to see if we can have Royalty at the event, watch this space.
Mr Guitar man , John to play his Guitar as background music on the day. Everybody know John who teaches people to play the Guitar and a man of many talents learning people Art at the centre.
Entertainment is at the planning stage.
The Police PSCO and the Fire Brigade have been invited to give out advice..
Julie as we all know is our Family Research Tutor will be at the event giving advise on Family Research. You can Join Julie and others on a Monday from 10am to research your Family Tree, on the big screen.
So there we have it many more things to add too this event as the date gets closer. Please, please donate prizes to the raffle and get Baking. I can pick up any raffle prizes, or give to Carla at The GATE.
