Cross Flatts parkrun 17th August
The rain clouds had cleared and the sun shone once again on the 125 parkrunners in Cross Flatts park this morning.
Great recruitment this week – we saw 7 first time parkrunners join us, including 2 juniors (Nathan Church & Callum Stockdale). We also welcomed 22 first time visitors! Most from the local area, but some from further afield – Belfast, Colne & Rotherham. The visitors included 2 juniors (Daisy Daniels & Leo Marsden). Great to see you all, and we hope you will be back again soon.
Congratulations to Max Parker who completed his 50th parkrun today. Big smiles all round!
We welcomed Steph & Richard Evans back to Cross Flatts this morning – great to have you with us. They moved to Michigan a few years ago and with no parkrun for 30 miles there was no other option but to start their own in Ann Arbor! Great work Steph!
Congratulations to the 17 of you who achieved PB’s today, including Pauline Dixon & Debra Creasser (South Leeds Sisters) parkrunning for only their 2nd time, Kaiden Balkwill (junior under 11) and Johnathon Harding who once again crossed the line first!. Great running all of you.
Thank you to Sam Harding Butterworth for the photos – see if you can find yourself in the visitors posts!
25 clubs were represented.
Ken says,
The Cross Flatt sPark Run crowd are a very lovely crowd.
I did my 50th Park run there, got the t-shirt and went onto to my 100th Parkrun and got my 100th Parkrun T-Shirt. Unfortunate my Physiotherapist told me to no longer run as i have Arthritis in my knee.
I still host a walking group at Middleton Elderly Aid once a week and on occasion still do a walking Group in Belle Isle.
