Community Theatre Group are seeking an experienced writer to deliver 8 creative writing workshops in Belle Isle, Leeds, starting in September 2017.
Each workshop should be 2 hours long and will focus on supporting participants to develop a short play or piece of writing which will be performed on completion of the 8 session course in the GATE Community resource centre.
Community Theatre Group were formed in 2016. We are a community group whose aim is to promote the arts, namely creative writing and drama, and to promote community cohesion in Belle Isle. Currently preparing a series of projects working with primary school aged children in the area we are looking for an experienced writer with a strong playwriting track record who will inspire participants and who will be interested in supporting future Community Theatre Group projects.
