Our second Community Reporters course started today.
It was a day of introductions. Five new students introduced themselves. As tutor, I introduced the idea of “hyperlocal blogging” and we looked at half a dozen sites from around the country and talked about how South Leeds Life has been developed over the last couple of years.
The students then launched into their first assignment: a post about themselves. You can read them of the next day or two as we publish them all. Subjects range from being a better neighbour to running marathons and growing up in Hunslet.
