There’s a busy week of events and community meetings in South Leeds this week.
Today residents will be able to view proposals to turn Netto in Old Lane, Beeston, into a new Asda store at a public consultation held at Beeston Hill Social Club on Beeston Road (1pm-7pm).
On Tuesday, from 7pm, community issues will be discussed at the next Beeston Hill Residents’ Voice meeting at Building Blocks on Tempest Road (next to the Hamara Healthy Living Centre). All local residents are welcome.
On Thursday, the Beeston Community Forum meets at Beeston Village Community Centre at 7.30pm. Speakers include representatives for the Investment Partnership for South Leeds.
On Friday, a games night will be held at Holbeck Community Centre, Elland Road, 7pm. Run by Holbeck Christian Fellowship, the event includes ludo, dominos, snakes and ladders – and there’s pie and peas! Cost £1.50;
Also on Friday, Simon Bradley, in conjunction with Project Space Leeds (PSL), has organised an audio walk starting from PSL off Whitehall Road at 8.30pm and ending with an intervention on Holbeck Moor at around 9.30pm.
On Saturday, Middleton Community Group meets to discuss local issues at St Cross Church on Acre Road (1oam). All welcome.
